The submission of the Respondents - the members of the Court Martial that imposed 30- months Rigorous Imprisonment on the former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka – will resume on July 12 before the Court of Appeal. The Writ application of the former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka challenging the verdict of the 2nd Court Martial came up before a panel of judges consisting of Justices Eric Basnayake and A.W.A.Salam and Upaly Abeyrathne yesterday (6). The Court fixed the matter to be resumed on July 12.
