The Court of Appeal yesterday extended till September 3, the restraining order on Fonterra Group Pvt. Limited. The Court had, 11 days ago, imposed a restraining order on advertisements by the Fonterra Group. Yesterday, Counsel Upul Jayasuriya told the Court that an application for contempt of Court would be filed against the Fonterra Group Pvt. Limited for having defied the Court of Appeal interim order, which prohibited advertisements which claimed that Fonterra products were 100 per cent safe and free of dicyandiamide (DCD).
