Lakshana is a Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at the firm.

Background & expertise

With over 25 years of experience in the legal field, she possesses expertise in complex Commercial and Corporate Litigation, Banking and Finance, Intellectual Property Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Land and Property related Litigation, Testamentary matters, Industrial Disputes and Aviation Law. She has frequently represented high profile local and international clients resulting in her being repeatedly ranked by Global legal listings in Dispute Resolution. She has been instrumental in guiding the Dispute Resolution Team of the firm to be ranked as Tier 1 in global listings.

She was enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in December 1999 and is one of the founding members of the firm since its inception in 2002. Prior to that, she was an associate at a leading law firm in Sri Lanka. She also holds a Master’s in Law from the University of Colombo.

In addition to being a life member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL), she is an active member of the Colombo Law Society.
