Background & expertise

Chathurika, admitted to the bar in 2011, is an expert in trademarks law and currently serves as the Head of Trademarks. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Colombo with specialization in Intellectual Property Law and has experience in trademark dispute resolution, client base expansion, and cultivating cross-jurisdictional professional relationships.

Since joining our firm in 2015, Chathurika has played a pivotal role in steering trademark practice, leading a dynamic team in delivering comprehensive trademark services, with a particular focus on prosecution.

Prior to joining the firm, Chathurika gathered over four years of experience working as Legal Officer in several corporate entities, demonstrating proficiency in managing organizational legal transactions and ensuring compliance with national laws.

Chathurika’s key strengths lie in her resourcefulness, meticulous approach, and proactive attitude. She possesses excellent problem-solving skills, along with a strategic mindset, and a solid foundation in legal research.
