Manoj Bandara

Manoj Bandara is a Senior Legal Counsel (Trial Lawyer), Appellate Counsel, and the Lead in-house Counsel of the firm.

Background & expertise

He represents many multinational corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, across all industry sectors in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Commercial High Court, District Court, Labour Courts, and international and local arbitrations, customs inquiries, and other judicial and quasi-judicial bodies. He also advises and acts for many MNEs operating in Sri Lanka. His key areas of practice include commercial law, company law, intellectual property law, general civil litigation, public administrative law, defamation, international sale of goods, customs, tax, maritime law, labour law, and arbitration, with over two decades of experience in complex and contentious litigation and arbitration.

He was enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2001 and joined the firm in 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Colombo.

In addition to being a life member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL), he is also a member of the International Bar Association.
