Minidi Gamalath

Minidi is a Partner and head of the Company Secretarial and Business Assistance Department. She also serves as a Director of SPA Business Assistance (Private) Limited, an affiliate company of the Firm, which provides a wide range of support services designed to streamline business operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Background & expertise

Minidi specializes in the incorporation of all types of companies recognized under the Companies Act of Sri Lanka, managing and resolving both routine and complex Company Secretarial matters, and structuring corporate governance frameworks. Her expertise extends to the registration of representative offices of companies incorporated outside Sri Lanka, registration of non-governmental organizations, and navigating industry-specific regulatory registrations and licensing requirements.

Minidi joined Sudath Perera Associates in March 2018, before which, she was a key member of the company secretarial team at another law firm in Sri Lanka.

Academic & professional qualifications, memberships, associations and accreditations

Minidi holds an LL.B Hons degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Colombo, an LL.M in International Business and Commercial Law, as well as an MSc. in International Business Management from the University of West London. Minidi is also a CIMA Passed Finalist and is qualified as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Minidi is a lifetime member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka. She is also a former Vice President and a former Executive Committee member of Sri Lanka – China Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

Minidi has served as a Panelist in webinars organized by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, on legal and practical aspects of Company Secretarial practice.
