Rajni is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Department of the firm.

Background & expertise

Rajni’s practice primarily focuses on Patent and Trademark prosecution, including protection of IP rights internationally. She has had significant exposure in preparing, drafting and prosecuting local as well as international patent applications filed through the World Intellectual Property Organization. She works closely with R&D teams and inventor(s) on prior art and advises on patentability and related matters.

• LL. B (Hons) – Staffordshire University, UK.
• Completed the 2023 JPAA IP Practitioners seminar offered by the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA) in cooperation with Japan Patent Office.
• Completed a Certificate Course in Patent Law with a Merit pass, at the Faculty of Law of University of Colombo.
• Life Member – Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL).
• A member of International Trademark Association (INTA) and Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).
• Country Representative for the Patents Committee in the Sri Lanka Group of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).
